We're nearly half way through this month already if you can believe that! The March Mood Board challenge from Jot Magazine is up and running and is just gorgeous. Here's the card I made:
I started with the blues and pinks from the colour scheme, and made sure to include a splash of woodgrain/kraft into the mix as well. You know me - it's all about the layers! The long line of arrows in the mood board inspired me too so I threw on a cluster of wood veneer ones to top it off.
This month's Mood Board was designed by Mardi Winen who always inspires me with her modern-vintage layouts, and the rest of the Jot Girls have done a brilliant job at interpreting the board in their own unique styles too.
This month we have a brand new sponsor Baby Peppers who are generously giving away a handmade quilt to the winner of the challenge. You can check out all the details on the Jot blog HERE.

Created to Create
If you've been meaning to check out the first kit from Illustrated Faith that was released through DaySpring then now is the time... on Thursday the new kit is revealed which will mean this one gets retired!
It's called Created to Create and the devotional was written by our inspirational leader Shanna Noel. The kit comes with everything you see here - the devotional, a 6x4" stamp set, an ink pad, washi tape, sharable scripture cards and more! I only just received mine a little while ago and dived straight in so I've got a couple of pages to share with you...
Right from the very first day of the devotional it instantly inspired me. I don't know about you but often in social situations I downplay my creative endeavors as a frivolous pursuit that's of little importance in 'the real world'. But here it is in black and white - and in the Old Testament no less - the Lord called forth specific people to be gifted with "skill, knowledge, intelligence and all craftmanship" through the infilling of God's Spirit. There were weavers and carvers and embroiderers and engravers and designers and they were all called by God to use their skills to glorify Him. We shouldn't be ashamed of our talents but should celebrated the fact that we have been created by a creative God to be creative!
The stamps in this kit are just so fun aren't they? I can definitely see myself using these for far more than just bible journaling. And speaking of stamps, Day Spring have now just added the first lot of Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith stamp sets to their collection of products, along with acrylic blocks and ink pads and a whole range of other accessories. You can check out the whole collection HERE.
And if you're shopping then you might just want to keep this code in mind... it gives you 25% off everything, but it's only valid until Thursday!

Jot Issue 13
The latest issue of Jot Magazine has just hit the airwaves and as usual it's a beautifully curated collection of stunning projects.
I started this card with a couple of things in mind; the first was all about letting the focus rest on the big bold numbers (that's pretty obvious right?!) but because this was actually for a boy-birthday I needed to try and resist the temptation to make it all pretty and layered and textured like I usually do.
So I stuck with a simple and clean design but still had fun with it by trying out a new technique for me which is that inlaid diecut thingy I've done there with the scripted 'congrats' die. It was a little fiddly, let's be honest! But I do like how it turned out :-)
Next up was this set of three cards I did for the Mother's Day gallery. I felt like I could get a whole lot more girly and flowery with these and so I chose my Neat & Tangled Gardenia Blooms stamp and embossed it in white before using some Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens to colour them in.
But this is really just the tip of the iceberg friends! There is soooo much inspiration packed into this issue that you are just going to LOVE it! You can download your FREE copy over on the Jot blog now!
Happy reading!

I consider myself very lucky to be counted among the Jot Girls and so I have the opportunity to create directly for the magazine. For this issue I managed to contribute two separate projects - this first one was for the Numbers gallery.
