One of my favourite galleries in the latest issue of Jot Magazine is the Minc gallery. Probably because this is my new favourite papercrafting tool! I am purposefully saying papercrafting rather than just scrapbooking because the possibilities seem rather limitless with this machine, but let me just show you what I had in the magazine today.
Gold foil will always be the winner, and when applied to the premade large 'hello sunshine' embellishment it became the perfect focal point for my bright beachy summery layout.
But I also wanted to test out the ability to create my own designs with the Minc, and this is just one way I tested out. I created the background of my strawberry card by first stamping and embossing the design like I normally would. I chose the silver foil this time and ran the whole thing through the machine.... and it worked! It did kinda re-melt the embossing which gave the once crisp outlines a thicker appearance, but I don't mind. I love the effect!
I can't wait to show you what else I've been discovering about my Minc, but in the meantime check out the gallery, and in fact the whole issue of Jot Magazine here. It's free!!
The Minc machine and all it's accessories can now be found in Spotlight stores around Australia. But if that doesn't suit then you can find a great deal online at Studio Calico.
Love these projects, especially your layout! I've been in doubt whether or not to buy the Minc machine and now I think I will! Thanks!! Have a fab day!
