Sometimes I wonder why I take on more/new projects like Ali Edward's December Daily when I probably don't really have enough time. But then I remember that it's really all about capturing the memories, and that no matter how beautiful (or not!) this turns out to be, it'll still be appreciated in times to come.
Nonetheless, I wasn't quite convinced with my first attempt at my cover. I was inspired by Ali's tone-on-tone cover and attempted my first version with a black background and a variety of different coloured Glimmermist.
It's interesting, and would probably be good for something else, but I decided it was too dark and depressing for Christmas. So I repainted and started again!
Now what do you think? Much brighter and happier!!
Cream and gold swirls with just a dash of colour thrown in the mix, and plenty of sparkles :-)
This is as organised as I can be for the inside at the moment! Plain ol' patterned paper :-) But it feels good to work through my (large) Christmas paper stack. This page for example is a couple of papers from Basic Grey's Jovial collection.
And speaking of Basic Grey, Handmade by Suzanne has slashed 40% off ALL Basic Grey products for this week only. This includes the Jovial collection, and all the new ones too (Pyrus, Marjolaine, Curio) so you should definitely go and grab yourself a bargain!
I'm trying to document my daily activities, along with a few photos on my blog each day (in one of the pages up the top) and then I'll have to put it all together some time after Christmas.
Who else is crazy enough to be attempting the December Daily?
