I don't often do layouts of inanimate objects, but I do believe in capturing the memories and this poor old sewing machine (may she rest in peace) has a lot of memories behind it. It had been passed from my grandmother, to my mother and then onto me, but alas she will only be passed on to the garbage dump from here :-)
It seemed entirely fitting that I finally use my Prima canvas dress-form on this page. And I made a little skirt for her with some gorgeous Little Yellow Bicycle Fresh Print Clothesline papers. Some of the other embellishments and the alphas are from this range too. Otherwise all the other supplies are from Pink Paislee's Queen Bee collection.
This LO is very pretty;0) I do not normally capture items of mine either. It may be a good idea though so my children will have my favorite things to take along with them. I love the dress!

So sad that it died! I thought the dress was fabric too- such great dimension! :)
ReplyDeleteI think mine is dying too. BOO. :(
What a fabulous way to remember a good friend :)
ReplyDeleteNatalie, I love how you have dressed that dress form and all that layering makes for a wonderful heritage type layout
ReplyDeleteOh how fun Natalie, love that little dress and I love that you scrapped about your sewing machine. The layout is just gorgeous!
