The Story of an Ambassador

Many of you may have seen this announcement already. Certainly I've been shouting it from the rooftops! But I'm very pleased to say that I've been invited to be a part of the wonderful new team of Jenni Bowlin Studios Ambassadors!!
I've really enjoyed working alongside Jenni and her team in the past, and that's not only because they're great people but because I genuinely love their product too. So I've got plenty of older layouts that are full of JBS products. But I made a new layout for the call which I wanted to share with you.

It's all about the day Munchy was awarded the "Lynbrook Legend Award" which is a prize awarded at her school every month to a student who demonstrates teamwork, respect, excellence, caring and responsibility. We were proud as punch when she brought home the announcement and I knew straight away that was a piece of paper I was going to have to include on a layout ;-) Remember when scrapbooking used to just be about gluing your achievements and memories into a book? Well it's much more fun now... but sometimes I think we need to get back to our roots too.

The way I see it - Jenni Bowlin Studio is all about celebrating vintage emphemera and the icons of yesteryear. Her images evoke feelings of "the good-ol' days" and are reminiscant of "the way things used to be" as we think of the era that maybe our parents or grandparents grew up in. But lets not forget that the bits and pieces of our ordinary lives right now are going to evoke those same emotions in our children in times to come. So I'm all about including the "real" in my layouts.

And in this instance it also included that fact that I have no other photo of the award ceremony than the one my husband took on his phone of the back of someone else's camera!! (He forgot to take a camera of his own)...... Now that's real!! LOL!

I couldn't be happier to be joining this group of talented women of Ambassadors, many of whom have been long-time scrappy crushes of mine. I just know that they're going to bring you bunches of inspiration over the next year, and I count myself very lucky to be among them.
