The Story of the Hard Questions

Super excited about having the opportunity as a JBS Ambassador to be a Guest Designer on the Play Date Cafe blog! Here's the page I created for Challenge #176.

The colour challenge is sooo lovely. They've called it 'Cappuccino, Slate and Burlap', but I like the idea that there's a hint of silver and gold in here too.

Pretty much all the products on this page are JBS, but it's the new release stamps that we're focusing on this week. I used the 'Photo Album' stamp to create this mini-book which allowed me all the space I needed to write my journaling in. You know I've always got lots to say!!

I liked this selfie Munchy took when playing with my phone one day, so I kept it! It perfectly captured her sometimes pensive and brooding mood, and the black & white photo suited the colour scheme much better. She's a deep-thinker this eldest daughter of mine, and she can sure ask some big questions.

The string of thoughts I've journaled about on this layout were those 'where do you go when you die'? questions. That's ok, I've got a strong faith which allows me assurance and a ready answer. But the one that threw me was when she followed it up with 'and when do you go? Is it straight away or do you wait around here first?' Geez!! What 6 year-old asks things like that?!

Anyway...
On a lighter note... If you're inspired by the PDC Colour Challenge then I highly encourage you to play along. The prize is a $25 gift certificate to the JBS Mercantile. With that kind of cash you can pick up every single one of the new release stamps! All the details are here.
Happy scrapping

  3. This is so very beautiful, Natalie, I adore the design and the details. I love the stitching underneath the title, love the layered rub-on cutout + glittered chipboard feathers. Love the pic and the theme too! And oh, of course that awesome stamp. Wonderful take on the PDC challenge!
