Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses

As I sit here rugged up in my cardigan and granny-blanket it's easy to imagine why I've been drawn to scrapping some beach photos lately. I think I'm slightly cold-blooded. I much prefer the summer months with it's bright sun shining and lazy days.

I've spent more than half my life in the country though, so the beach is still quite a novelty for me. That means it's even more of an adventure for our children! I love this photo my sister snapped of her two boys walking off towards the ocean - one of them for the very first time.

When I decided I wanted to scrap this page I quickly realised that my beachy themed products were quite limited. So apart from the Pink Paislee Nantucket wooden shapes, all the rest of my products are just your 'average' supplies. In fact, all the main papers here from LilyBee are in fact office-themed!

I posted this layout on a forum, and someone commended me for all that fussy cutting... but it's deceiving actually. Trust me, I don't have the patience to spend hours twisting tiny scissors around paper details. So this is actually just a fabulous Basic Grey doily paper cut into chunks which represent my waves. Woo hoo for a brilliant idea!! LOL!

Well, I don't know if it's because my heater just kicked in, or if it's the effect of these beachy photos, but I'm feeling warmer already :-)
