Time to share that last page I've made with my fantastic American Crafts Dear Lizzy papers I got from Handmade by Suzanne. (Oh and while I'm talking about it, Suzanne has currently reduced nearly 600 products in the shop by 30% - including all the Dear Lizzy line. Gotta make way for the next CHA)
I made this layout inspired by this gorgeous one by Jolene Pienaar.
I layered up all those flowers and butterflies and rub-ons - love a good embellishment cluster! I cut up all the leaves and bent them up for some more dimension. Then I thought it needed just a touch more fiddling, so added some glitter to the centre of the flowers and outlined the petals with my pink Sakura Souffle pen.
Martha Stewart heart punch .... I love you.
Initially I did my whole layout on the plain AC 'blush' cardstock. Then I decided I really wanted to add more details (you are aware of my aversion of white-space!!) by misting those sun-rays in the background. Of course, that would have been really easy if I had thought of that before I finished sticking everything down.... but not so. Yet I was so determined that I cut out some scrap paper to fit over all the bits that I didn't want misted (including tiny little scraps to cover all the butterflies - yep I really had 'finished') before I laid down my stencil and went to town with my Glimmermist.
I really love these photos of Munchy meeting Moodles for the first time. We captured these moments where she wanted to check out every single bit of her - making sure she was ok I guess?!! Good thing she passed the inspection and we got to keep her :-)
Gorgeous layout Natalie! Love the embellie cluster especially and LOL @ the tale of the misting! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHI Natalie, love your sweet layout, those darling photos are perfect for that pretty paper. Love all that layering and cutting, you make it look so fun and easy :-)
ReplyDeletehaha, you really made me giggle with that comment that you got to keep her, so funny! Those pictures are so precious, and you made such a beautiful LO with them. I'm totally jealous of your ability to make embellie clusters, I have never been able to make that work! Love the misting, that was a funny story as well btw!

Ooh, those rays are a nice addition, and as a spectator I appreciate the hard work that went into them! Another fine layout, I don't think you won't ever surprise and delight with what you have to offer.
