Kellie Stamps Blog Hop

A Happy New Year to everyone, hope you've had a wonderful time celebrating last night! A new year brings new opportunities and I'm happy to announce (again!!) that I'll be designing for the lovely Kellie from Kellie Stamps for the next little while. Sooo thrilled 'cos this girl designs the most amazing stamps and in 2014 is expanding her lines to include some really exciting new products.

And as part of the reveal of the new Design Team and the January release we're kicking off the year with a BLOG HOP!! You know that means prizes ;-) You should have arrived here directly from Kellie's blog, but in case you get lost here's the full list:
Kellie Winnell  http://kelliewinnell.typepad.com/
Natalie Elphinstone http://onescrappydoctor.blogspot.com.au/  <<< You are currently here!!
Aimee Dow http://www.betwixtandbetween.com.au/
Jodie Allan York http://www.polkadotcreative.com.au/blog/
Karyn Schultz http://karynscraftingobsession.blogspot.com.au/
Sue Ko http://themakingtable.blogspot.com.au/

Today on the Hop we're focusing on the new wood mounted stamps and my most favourite one you can see in the detail above... it says "You Are Absolutely Amazing" and I know I'm going to be able to use this on a thousand projects.

I'm also using the new release "Monday Friday" stamp set (which is actually part of the prize you can win today for hopping with us) and the exciting new Wood Flair. I love these! They're much thicker than the average veneer embellishments and come in two different coloured woods. Because they're so thick and deeply cut I was able to smear some gesso over the top of it with my finger to make the design stand out even more.

As for the other products on this layout, I'm using a mish-mash of the Studio Calico January main kit Copper Mountain and a couple of the add-ons Fremont Glades and High Point. I've also managed to break out some of the digital products. But anyway, that's a story for another day ;-)

Before I go I also wanted to share a quick little project I put together to dress up the cute calico bag that I received my Wood Mounted stamp in. Very easy. I simply collected a couple of embellishments and glued them on after stamping with some permanent ink directly onto the bag. Now it'll make a great gift bag!

Thanks for joining with me today on the Kellie Stamps Blog Hop. The next stop on your journey is the fabulous Amie Dow - she's all set to inspire you! And let's not forget about the prize... here's what you could win by participating today:

All you need to do is leave a comment on each of the blogs as you hop. Easy right!
It's open until midnight on the 5th of January. Good luck :-)

  5. I just knew you would be an insainly hard act to follow. I'm dying over what you did to those veneers. I already knew I wanted a ton of them but for the first time ever I feel the need to go out and buy gesso.
