The Story of Rocking It

I love that moment where you've got no plans or projects in mind, you just want to create for creativeness sake. So you grab whatever is handy on your desk rather than hunting for supplies, and you wonder if it's going to turn out acceptable looking or not. But it doesn't really matter anyway.

You stick with old techniques that you love, even if it's been done 1000 times before, such as filling glassine bags with sparkles and using them as a grounding base for embellishments. And then before you know it... a card has been born!

There's some new products though. Those ones that have really caught your eye, and that have been put in an obvious spot so you see them every time you create and have been waiting for an opportunity like this. Like my favourite Flair Buttons from Kellie Stamps, this one from the new release "Awesome Flair". It is indeed awesome.

And it strikes you as odd that you hardly ever decorate the inside of your cards even though that's pretty standard for store-bought ones. So you stamp a quick sentiment with black ink. Elegant with a touch of funkiness you think.

Plenty more Flair in my stash. It's got me itching to create again. Thank goodness for the pending long weekend, and the amazing Studio Calico February Kits that are waiting to be killed. Sneaks coming soon my friends. Real soon!
